ART TIME

Here are some craftie projects the girls have been working on these cold winter months. The incredibly detailed ones are Julie's. The scattered blocks are Elly's . What can she say?!

ELLY"S OWIE

Here's our trooper, all bandaged up and ready to play.

See? I'm still cute!

Here's an okay picture of the injury.
This week's e-ray shows one bone directly beneath the other bone.
The bone shifted due to too much movement. But it's actually
a blessing because they say it will heal better from the new position.

GOOD NEWS! Having a sling has not slowed down Elly's ability to operate the ipod touch in any way, shape, or form. She still navigates like a champ. Watch this video to see her find movies, scroll though pictures, and check email. What a hoot! How much will Apple pay for this to be their next commercial? Seriously?! Someone find out!! (Yeah, she's sideways too. Refer to the previouslt mentioned user error!)

JULIE"S SOLO CAREER

Hi everybody. Here is Julie singing a solo part at the
Christmas Eve Service at our church. She's got a future!
Try to ignore the fact that she's sideways...I couldn't get the video to rotate.
(RRRR...modern technology!)

BURRRRRR!!!!!!

It's COLD here!
I know I'm from Colorado and all, but seriously...it's cold here!
We have no snow. Just cold. Here, I'll proove it.

The moisture from the neighbors dryer vent frozen in mid air.
Yep!! That's cold!

Our Christmas tree from outside with icicles hanging off of it.

Frozen drips on a rock cliff nearby.
No, there is not water running out of this cliff.
I have no idea what actually froze.

CHRISTMAS DECORATING

Hi there. Here are some pics of us decorating for Christmas this year.

Julie and Lee putting up the fake tree.

The girls hanging ornaments.

Elly setting up the Veggie Tales Nativity scene.

Julie hanging stockings on our real fireplace. No cardboard mantle this year!!!

We love you all. Take care and Merry Christmas!!

ELLY'S BIRTHDAY

Okay. She's not really 2 already ... is she??
Elly had a great birthday party with lots of friends and family
around to celebrate with her (including Elmo!).
Nana Mary and Baba Marty flew in from Colorado.
Tammy, Eric, Caleb and Madeline came over from Fenton.
And Nana Kay and Baba Charles drove all the way across town.
There was fun and cupcakes for all!
Nice doo.

Elmo loves Elly.

"I wish these were all for me!"

Rock Band prodogy.

"Giddy-up!"

LANTERN WALK

Hermann has this really cool event each year where they usher in the holiday season with a lantern walk. Everyone meets at the ampitheatre to receive a lantern with which they parade through the downtown streets singing Christmas carols and just having fun. Afterwards, you get to enjoy FREE kettle korn, hot cocoa, smores, hot dogs, and Santa. We had a great time.
Here's some pics...
