BARNYARD FUN

Today was Barnyard Day (4-H) at the high school.
We thought we'd check it out.

Julie and Elly got to sit on a horse.

Pet miniature ponies...

Bunnies...

Goats...

Ducks...geese...chickens...

Cows...
Such is the level of fun in our small town!!!

FUN FUN FUN IN THE (lack of) SUN!!

Well, it's been a long (rather cold and blah) winter. But that's okay.
We've come up with our own fun.

Playing Guitar Hero with friends.

Cooking with Nana Kay.

Goofing on the computer.

Making our hair stand strait up.

Driving in the house.

Dressing up as various animals.

(Elly's favorite ladybug outfit.)

Playing spa: doing toenails, banana mud masks, etc.

(I even let them paint mine!)

And playing Monopoly. Julie WHOOPED me in this game!!!

BALLET/GYMNASTICS

Nana Mary paid for Julie to take a ballet class and a gymnastics class.
They are a fun way for her to get out and meet some new kiddos her age.
Here are some pics...

MAGIC DUDE

Parents as Teachers had a 'Magic Man' come to town and put on a program for the kids. It was pretty cool. They watched a brief magic show and then got to try all the things themselves. They walked with stilts, spun plates on long sticks, balanced items, rode a tricycle, juggled, etc etc. Here are some of our pics. Enjoy.'

A VIDEO TOUR OF OUR HOME

Well here it is. The video you've all been asking for. Our home...in pictures that aren't too small, or too blurry. Hopefully all your requests will be met. To see a much better view of it, COME VISIT!!!! We'd love some company.

HOLY GEESE

Okay, okay, the geese aren't really holy. They just APPEAR to be walking on water. I guess they thought they'd go for a swim on this frozen lake. "It's a little too early yet kiddos!" The girls liked watching them though.

PACKIN' MEAT

We had the honor of going to some friends house this past weekend to help them process 1100 pounds of deer meat. They made ground round, sausage, spicy sticks, etc.etc until the wee hours of the morning.
The girls had a blast massaging the meat to mix spices, twisting the sausage into brats, and holding the casings for 'spicy hotdogs'.
Here's Elly and I with a pan of spicy sticks she loaded.

Here's Julie with some of the finished 'spicy hotdogs' she helped with.
